Tell us which Mac and keyboard layout you use, and what happened. A screenshot helps.
support@tifinger.theill.comTips
- Wrong letters on the screen keyboard? Check the layout in System Settings › Keyboard › Text Input. Tifinger follows the layout that’s selected there.
- Stuck on a key? The red key stays put until the right key is pressed. Look at the little hands to see which finger to use.
- Want three stars? Aim for accuracy first. Speed comes by itself after a few days.
- To leave a lesson, press esc.
Questions
What age is Tifinger for?
Children who can read short words, from about seven or eight, up to teenagers. Lessons start slowly with two keys at a time, so younger children manage too. Adults who never learned to touch type can use it just as well.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later, with the built-in keyboard or an external one.
Does it work with our keyboard layout?
Yes. Tifinger reads the layout your Mac is set to (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, German, US and any other) and shows exactly those keys. Change the layout in macOS and the lessons follow.
Which languages are the practice words in?
Danish and English, chosen per profile. The app itself is in twelve languages.
Can several children use it?
Yes. Make a profile for each child (and for yourself). Each has their own course, stars, streak and statistics.
Does it need the internet?
No. Tifinger works fully offline and never connects to anything. There’s no account to create.
What does it cost?
$4.99, once, on the Mac App Store. Every feature and every update is included. No subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads.
